AMS Chief Executive Officer Tony Bihl

Anthony P. (Tony) Bihl III

Chief Executive Officer

Anthony P. (Tony) Bihl, III was named Chief Executive Officer in April 2008. Mr. Bihl has over 25 years experience in financial, operational, and global management and medical instrument manufacturing. From 2000 to 2007, Mr. Bihl served various senior leadership positions at Siemens AG, formerly Bayer Healthcare, including Vice President of Finance and Control, Senior Vice President of Business Planning and Administration, President of Diagnostics Division, and most recently, as CEO of Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics.

After graduating from Penn State University in 1978, Mr. Bihl started his career as an accountant with E.I. Dupont. For the next 20 years, his career grew through a broad range of financial and operations management positions, concluding as Plant Manager for medical instruments at Dupont. In 1996, the Dupont Imaging business was acquired by Sterling Investments and Tony was appointed Vice President for Instrument Manufacturing for the new company, later assuming responsibility for its' global Service business.

AMS Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Ross A. Longhini

Ross A. Longhini

Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Ross A. Longhini has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since August 2006. He also assumed the role of interim CEO from January — April 2008. Previously, he served as Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Longhini has more than 20 years of experience in the field of medical device product development. From 1998 to 2002, he served in various management positions in Sulzer Spine-Tech of Minnesota including Vice President, Research and Development, Clinical & Regulatory. From 1991 to 1998, he was with I.V. Infusion Therapy of 3M which was sold to Gaseby in 1996, then purchased by Smiths Medical Systems in 1997. From 1983 to 1991, he was with 3M Dental Products.

AMS Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Mark Heggestad

Mark A. Heggestad

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mark A. Heggestad has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since December 2006. Mr. Heggestad has more than 20 years of experience in financial leadership roles in the medical device industry. From 1987 to 2006, he served in various management positions at Medtronic, Inc., including Vice President of Finance and IT for the Cardiac Surgery Business, Vice President of Corporate Audit & Compliance Assurance and Vice President of Corporate Finance, Assistant Controller. Prior to 1987, Mr. Heggestad was an audit manager for KPMG, LLP.


Operating Team

John Armbruster

Treasurer

John D. Armbruster joined AMS as Treasurer in May 2006 and also has responsibility for the company's tax function. Mr. Armbruster has nearly 20 years of finance experience in various industries. From 1997 to 2006, he held various senior finance management positions at Metris Companies. Most recently, Mr. Armbruster was Vice President, Assistant Treasurer and prior to 2004, he was Senior Vice President, Tax. From 1993 to 1997, he held finance positions of increasing responsibilities at Fingerhut Companies. Mr. Armbruster started his career at Arthur Andersen & Co.

AMS Director of Information Technology Mike Casey

Michael J. Casey

Director of Information Technology

Michael J. Casey has served as Director of Information Technology since June 2004. Mr. Casey has nearly 20 years of experience in the Information Technology and Finance professions. A 15-year veteran of AT&T Wireless, Mr. Casey led the delivery of information solutions for supply chain, finance, tax, legal, and corporate administration as a Director from 1998 to December 2003. From 1996 to 1998, he served as the Information Technology Director responsible for establishing organization, infrastructure, and solutions needed to launch and operate new markets in Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, and Ohio.

AMS Senior Vice President, Human Resources Janet Dick

Janet L. Dick

Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Janet L. Dick was promoted to Sr. Vice President, Human Resources in April 2005. Previously she had served as Vice President since 1996. Overall, Ms. Dick has spent almost 20 years in positions of increasing responsibility within the Human Resources departments of AMS and of Schneider (USA), both of which were divisions of Pfizer at the time. Prior to joining AMS, Ms. Dick served as Assistant Vice President and Personnel Officer for Utica National Bank and Trust for four years, preceded by three years Human Resources experience with The Knutson Companies, Inc.

AMS Senior Vice President, Human Resources Whitney Erickson

Whitney D. Erickson

Vice-President and General Manager, Men's Health

Whitney D. Erickson has served as Vice President and General Manager of Men's Health since January 2007. Ms. Erickson has nearly 20 years of global experience including roles in process technology, operations leadership, marketing, business development and general management. She was previously with Honeywell International, where she spent 11 years, most recently as a Vice President for Business Development, involved in integration of various Honeywell acquisitions. Prior to Honeywell, Ms. Erickson was with the former James River Corporation, as well as General Electric. She has worked in a variety of industries including polymers, pharmaceutical packaging and chemical intermediates as well as security hardware and power transformation.

AMS Senior Vice-President, Global Operations R. Scott Etlinger

R. Scott Etlinger

Senior Vice-President, Global Operations

R. Scott Etlinger has served as AMS Vice President of Global Operations since June 2004. From November 2003 to June 2004, he served as Sr. Director of Global Supply Chain Management. Mr. Etlinger has over 20 years of experience in operations, business process reengineering and finance in a world-wide setting, spanning both medical device and aircraft manufacturing industries. He was formerly with Zimmer Spine where he served as Vice President of Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Prior to Zimmer Spine, Mr. Etlinger spent over 10 year at Sulzer Orthopedics in Austin, Texas. holding positions of Vice President of Business Integration and Global Controller. Mr. Etlinger entered into the medical device industry after spending 11 years with Northrop Corporation holding engineering and operations controller positions supporting the B-2 Stealth Bomber Flight Test Program, Final Assembly Operations and Advanced Manufacturing Technology.

Senior Vice President, Corporate Compliance, Quality and LegalLarry Getlin

Lawrence W. Getlin, J.D., RAC

Senior Vice President, Corporate Compliance, Quality and Legal

Lawrence W. Getlin, J.D., RAC was promoted to Sr. Vice President of Corporate Compliance, Quality and Legal in 2005. Previously he had served as Vice President of Regulatory Medcial Affairs and Quality since 1990. As Corporate Compliance Officer he is responsible for all compliance activities other than financial reporting. Prior to joining AMS, Mr. Getlin served as Director of Regulatory Affairs for the Pharmaseal Division of Baxter Healthcare/American Hospital Supply Corporation where he worked for a total of 14 years. This was preceded by six years sales experience with Parke Davis. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the California State Bar, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals 9th District, and District Court, Central District of California, and is Regulatory Affairs Certified (RAC).

Gary A. Goetzke, J.D.

Senior Director, Reimbursement & Government Affairs

Gary A. Goetzke has served as Senior Director of Reimbursement and Government Affairs since May of 2005. Mr. Goetzke has more than 20 years health care policy and government affairs experience in the medical device field. From 1988 to 2002 he served in a variety of global health policy management roles at Medtronic, Inc, including leading the development of a global network of reimbursement expertise as Director of the Neurologic Worldwide Payer Systems business unit. From January 2003 to 2005 he also served as Director of Global Coverage and Payment Policy for ArthroCare, Inc, a company specializing in providing minimally invasive medical solutions in the areas of Sports Medicine, Spine, ENT and Urology.

AMS Corporate Controller Kathie Lenzen

Kathie J. Lenzen

Corporate Controller

Kathie J. Lenzen joined AMS in August 2004 and assumed the Corporate Controller position in March 2005. Ms. Lenzen has over 20 years experience in finance and accounting, holding positions of increasing responsibility in both public accounting and corporate finance and accounting. She served as Corporate Controller of Entegris, Inc., a worldwide manufacturer in the semiconductor industry, where she provided financial direction for domestic and international operations, including information technology and business integration project management. Ms. Lenzen is also a Certified Public Accountant, starting her career with KPMG Main Hurdman.

AMS Vice President of Research and Technology

Daniel R. Mans

Vice President of Research and Technology

Daniel R. Mans has served as Vice President of Clinical and Regulatory Affairs since December 2006. In 2008, Mr. Mans was given additional responsibility to lead our corporate technology and research teams. He has more than 20 years experience in various aspects of product development in the medical device and automotive industries. He was formerly with Sulzer Spine-Tech where he served as Vice President of Clinical and Regulatory Affairs and Quality Systems. He has also served in executive management positions with several successful early-stage medical device companies. He began his medical device career at Medtronic, where he was responsible for managing clinical studies within Cardiac Rhythm Management.

AMS Senior Vice President and General Manager, Women's Health John Nealon

John F. Nealon

Senior Vice President and General Manager, Women's Health

John F. Nealon has served as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Women's Health since April 2008. Prior to his appointment as General Manager, Mr. Nealon served as Senior Vice President of Business Development from April 2005 to July 2008. From January 2002 to April 2005, he served as Vice-President of Global Marketing at AMS. Mr. Nealon has over 15 years of experience in the medical device industry. From 1996 to 2001, he served on the management team at Survivalink, a start-up medical device company which developed and marketed automated external defibrillators (AEDs). His final three years at Survivalink, he served as Vice-President, Marketing and International Sales. In 1996, he served as Director of Product Marketing for Summit Medical. From 1989 to 1996, he served in a variety of global product marketing roles at GE Medical Systems in the x-ray, surgery and cardiology businesses.

AMS Vice President Minnetonka Operations & Supply Chain Tom Rasmussen

Thomas K. (Tom) Rasmussen

Vice President Minnetonka Operations & Supply Chain

Thomas K. (Tom) Rasmussen has served as Vice President of the Minnetonka Operations and Supply Chain since August 2007. Mr. Rasmussen has over 32 years of experience in engineering, quality, R&D, international, manufacturing, and supply chain. From 1996 to 2007, Mr. Rasmussen worked for Smiths Medical as Director of Operations - Infusion Systems, then Vice President Medication Delivery Operations, and finally as Vice President of the U.S. Supply Chain. Prior to Smiths Medical he worked for the 3M Company primarily within its various Health Care divisions in many different business functions and locations. He graduated from Iowa State University in 1977 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Mr. Rasmussen is a registered Professional Engineer with the State of Minnesota.

Michael E. Ryan

Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Intercontinental

Michael E. Ryan was promoted to Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Intercontinental in May, 2007. Mr. Ryan has more than 21 years of Sales and Marketing experience within the US and International AMS sales organization. Prior to his promotion of Vice President, he was Area Sales Director, responsible for the Eastern United States since November, 2005. He has opened and expanded AMS direct affiliate offices around the globe and developed the extensive international distributor sales team in Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific. Prior to joining AMS, he worked with Saucony - Hyde Athletic Industries, Inc. which was acquired by The Stride Rite Corporation.

Robert P. Wood P.E.

Vice President and Site Director Innovation Center Silicon Valley

Robert Wood joined AMS in November 2007 and has 25 years experience in engineering, operations, and research and development in medical device, pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Robert was most recently Senior Vice President of Operations and Quality for Foxhollow, a maker of catheters for the treatment of peripheral arterial disease. Prior to Foxhollow, Robert was Vice President of Operations for Inamed, where he managed operations and R&D for collagen derived products, including the first commercial application of human collagen from fibroblast cell cultures. Robert also served as Vice President of Manufacturing at KeraVision, a maker of intrastromal corneal implants and instruments, and also served in leadership positions at Allergan and Abbott Laboratories. Robert began his career at Southwest Research Institute where he was involved in new product creation and research. Robert holds a professional engineering license in the state of Texas and graduated with honors with a BSME from Texas.
